Duke Energy has introduced complimentary in-home energy assessments to help customers manage rising energy costs during the summer months. This initiative allows homeowners to gain insights into their energy use and identify potential savings opportunities. As part of the service, energy experts visit homes to evaluate electricity consumption patterns and suggest ways to enhance energy efficiency.
The assessment includes checking for air leaks, evaluating the efficiency of heating and cooling systems, and inspecting insulation levels. Customers receive a detailed report with recommendations on energy-saving measures, such as upgrading appliances or enhancing insulation, which can significantly reduce energy bills.
In addition to personalized advice, the program may also provide free installation of basic energy-saving items like LED bulbs and faucet aerators, aimed at delivering immediate cost savings. Duke Energy is committed to supporting its customers by helping them reduce energy expenses while contributing to a sustainable future.
