Ford, in collaboration with TXU Energy, has launched the “TXU Energy Free EV Miles” program, offering significant savings to customers charging their electric vehicles (EVs) at home. Under this initiative, Ford EV owners can charge their vehicles at no cost during overnight hours, specifically between 12 a.m. and 6 a.m., when energy demand is low.
This partnership is designed to enhance the appeal of electric vehicles by reducing one of the primary costs associated with EV ownership — charging. By aligning charging times with periods of lower energy consumption, the program not only contributes to customer savings but also supports energy efficiency.
Ford’s commitment to sustainable transportation solutions is underscored by its intention to make electric vehicle charging more accessible and affordable. By participating in this program, Ford customers can enjoy a convenient and cost-effective way to power their EVs, reinforcing Ford’s dedication to customer satisfaction and environmental responsibility. The initiative underscores TXU Energy’s role in promoting eco-friendly energy solutions, further encouraging the transition to electric mobility.
